Glengarry Engagement Session Williamstown, Ontario
Horses, dogs, cows, sunshine & love…just the right ingredients for the perfect engagement session! Darby & Peter included all of their favourite things in their engagement session this spring. Being a horse lover myself, I was extra excited when Darby asked to include two of her horses in the session.
These two will be tying the knot this Saturday & I am eagerly looking forward to capture their day for them!
Darby & Peter meet for the first time at Peter’s family dairy farm, so it was fitting to have our session at the farm. Plus, it’s super close to my home so no getting lost for me!!
When Darby first met him, she noticed right away how passionate he is about the farm & that he enjoys spending his time outside using his four wheeler, hunting & snowboarding. As she began to know him better she was attracted to his dedication to his family, job & the way he prioritizes the important things in his life…such as his family, farm life & most importantly her!!
Peter’s first thoughts about Darby after he meet her for the first time was that she is a very outgoing person, in love with her job running a riding facility & extremely easy to have a conversation with. After asking her out on a few dates, he was attracted to her hard work ethic, love of animals which is important when running a farm & how easy she was to be around everyday!
Both enjoy similar activities which always includes the outdoors, animals, good food & time to rest for another big work day tomorrow!
During our session together, I noticed how well they communicate with each other, the respect they have not only with each others interests but with their animals as well & it was clearly evident how they both love their chosen careers!
Peter proposed to Darby after dating for one year, in his words “When you know it the right person, you just know!”
They enjoyed a weekend in beautiful Tremblant, skiing, snowboarding, tubing & hot tubing…all the usual “must do” things in Tremblant. One evening after they went out for a nice dinner, as they walked back to their hotel they both noticed a deer. Both being animal people, they wanted to feed the deer but as we know that didn’t go according to plan & the deer fled. As they wandered looking for it, they stumbled upon a beautiful lit path following a frozen lake near their hotel. Under the stars Peter got down on one knee & asked Darby to marry him…she of course accepted!
I am so excited to capture their wedding this Saturday…it’s going to be perfect, I can just feel it!! We will be all over Glengarry, starting in Williamstown’s beautiful Catholic Church, his parents dairy farm & ending with the reception at the amazing Bonnie Glenn…just perfect! It will be filled with family, love, nature, good friends & possibly a few pets!
