Fresh 48 | Cornwall, Ontario

I am back to adding blog posts on a more consistent basis, after a busy wedding season it’s so nice to have a bit of time to start sharing the beautiful images with everyone! Today, I am going to start with some of my favourite people & the beautiful new addition to their family! Rachelle & Matt have been such wonderful clients, I have had the pleasure of photographing their engagement, wedding day, maternity & now their most precious of gifts…Oliver!! I was beyond ecstatic when they were in touch to schedule their maternity session…we chatted about their options for capturing their little one’s first few days & they chose a Fresh 48 session plus a in home newborn session (next week will highlight that beauty)!

Matt was fantastic on keeping me informed on the progress of labour & I was smiling ear to ear when he messaged me that their little boy was born!! 48 hours after he arrived, I made my way to the Cornwall Community Hospital to meet little Oliver! Such a beautiful little guy…with so much hair!!! My favourite part of Fresh 48 sessions is capturing their little features…fingers, toes, newborn feet..so sweet & those features change so quickly!!

Capturing the intense love & awe that parents have with their newborn during those first few hours is what makes these sessions truly special!! I remember the feelings of wonder, pride, love & happiness that you feel when you look at your newborn baby!

I am so happy that I was able to capture these precious moments for Rachelle & Matt! Newborns change SO quickly & those first few days pass by in a blur of emotions, visitors, movement & lack of sleep…that we take for granted there will always be a tomorrow & not really taking a moment to appreciate today! I am so grateful that these two trusted me to capture their “today” for many tomorrows to come!!!
