Today’s blog feature is all about a recent cake smash celebrating Isla turning a year old! It’s amazing how quickly a year passes by….Isla was a Watch Me Grow baby, so this cake smash was the last session from the collection! It’s always a little bit of a bitter sweet moment for me…on one hand it’s amazing to have watched her grow every time I see her but it’s always a tad bit sad too!! I always develop a friendship with my Watch Me Grow client & now we don’t have a reason to “visit” with each other every few months!

Isla wasn’t too sure about the cake or the icing! It’s a common occurrence for cake smash sessions, little ones generally aren’t too familiar with cake or the sweetness of icing!

Luckily, big sister Peyton has experienced cake smash sessions before & was more than happy to hop in to show Isla how it’s done! Peyton is also a graduate from the Watch Me Grow collection!!

Once big sister showed her how it’s done, Isla was more comfortable with the idea of eating the cake! Plus, as soon as she got a spoon in her hands it was “go” time!

Many babies are used to eating with a spoon & sometimes that is all it takes to get them to dig in!

She was full of smiles at the end of our session….Isla has always been full of smiles for our sessions! Fingers crossed, I get to see this family this summer to update those family photos!! Both girls have probably grown SO much!!
