Winter Maternity Session | Cornwall, Ontario

I think maternity sessions are one of my favourites!! Why you may ask?? Because expecting a baby is a huge milestone in a family’s life, it’s just as big as your wedding day!! I also love photographing these sessions for clients to look back at this time years from now. Photographs can take you back to a moment that has past & you smile at the memories that were made in that moment.

Ok…enough soft, fluffy stuff & onto this beautiful winter maternity session of Valerie & Ross!!

Before our session, I had never meet Valerie or Ross but in no time at all…we were laughing like old friends!! Valerie wanted to have an outdoor session & the day was beautifully sunny but unfortunately FREEZING COLD!!! These two were such troopers…never complaining that their fingers were frozen or their ears were about to fall off!!

We tried our best to stay out of the wind but seemed to always find the right spot until the wind picked up!! Regardless, these two were more than willing to snuggle together in an attempt to stay warm & their coats were always close by!

They have now become the “Perfect Family”…welcoming a baby girl into their new family of four! Luckily, they decided that including little Liam in their freezing maternity session wasn’t a great idea!! So now they have a boy & a girl…perfect!!

Thank you to Valerie & Ross for choosing me to capture this time in their family’s life!! Their in home newborn session will be featured in the next few weeks…Liam is included in this one. Even though he was a little bit unsure at the beginning…he was jumping on the bed & laughing in no time!!
